Wickerwork is a fiber woven and crafted into all manner of household fixtures and furnishings, from chairs and boards to hand baskets and lamps. Genuine wicker is created from organic fibers although simulated, imitation wicker, manufactured from plastic vulcanized fiber, is widely distributed as well. Wicker patio furniture imparts an air of elegance and grace reminiscent of the earlier tens.
